Monthly Report – Sept 2016

Summary of Sept 2016 –

This month I did open spots at new clubs and ventured far off to the Emerald Isle (well, Dublin and Bray) to perform stand up in Ireland. This trip had a troubled birth to say the least [vlog here]. But ultimately was such a fun adventure and really showed me what that city / country has to offer in terms of performing opportunities.

I also finished the final edits of my book [get your copy here]. This means (with any luck) I’ll have the digital copies out before the end of October and the physical copies out in early November. This is so exciting, but given I’ve just started writing a new book I can see the cycle starting all over again (however it should be SLIGHTLY easier this time).

A personal highlight of the month was interviewing Armando Iannucci for the Ask The Industry podcast. Something which took a lot of effort to get set up and something (I hope) will lead to bigger and more high profiling guests to come on the pod… fingers crossed. Another highlight was the Liverpool Comedy festival which, although it took me nearly 8 hours to drive to, was a pleasure and one of my new favourites. I highly recommend it.

Simon Caine is a comedian, author, podcaster, writer and social media manager. He's the host of the Ask The Industry Podcast (iTunes link) , writer of jokes for Twitter and teller of gags on the London comedy scene. He's also the person writing this and it is taking all his willpower not to make a "Simon Says" joke.
